Matt: Hannah, you sit down in that chair right now!
Hannah: I cant. Im fixin my wedgie right now!
After getting gas in the car, I was trying to make it a funny experience because the girls hate getting gas for some reason.
Me: The car says Thank you so much for feeding me! He was so hungry!
Leah: The car doesnt talk, mommy.
Ill add more later - but I gotta run to an eye appointment! Just didnt want to forget those since they grow up so fast!

Hand Foot Mouth
Leah is finally all better after this little virus hit our household, and I am happy to say that no one else got it. (I think we are in the clear now). She had horrible blisters all down her throat and in her mouth and did not eat hardly anything for a week. her little voice is still very pitiful but she ate a ton once she felt better. Her Aunt Lala gave her some cheerios and had to wait about an hour for them to soak and get really soft so Leah would eat them. Then Leah told us "we got to wait and make it reeaaaalll soft so it wont hurt my mouth" about everything she ate. She inhaled 4 bowls of those cheerios
I am including some gross pictures for those parents who have children who may get this. And here are some hints. Mylanta makes a good little popsicle and helps the blisters - but I just let Leah lick a little bit of it since I didnt really want to give her a full dose. I put some Benadryl in there too. A little popsicle cocktail if you will. And Loratab flavor is disgusting, but a coke will hide it. I dont like giving my child coke, but it got the med down. We struggled with those things.
I know thats gross but it really was pitiful - and that was all down her throat.
We are all better now and I am so thankful.

A sick little Leah
All I can say is I cannot imagine having to go through what some parents must go through with very sick kids. Leah has a little virus that is causing her a lot of pain. It's called the coxsackie virus - or hand foot mouth disease. It's spread kind of like mono and causes bad ulcers all in the mouth, gums, and down her throat along with a never-ending fever. It's very painful and she has been pitiful. She hasn't eaten more than a few bites of anything soft for 5 days. Her doc gave her some lortab to help her sleep but it didn't help too much last night. But this mommy is such a sucker and Leah has been enjoying milkshakes, Popsicles, applesauce, ice-cream, jello, pudding, and a new play doh toy for fun. Oh- and her medicines are hidden in coke. I did buy caffeine free diet coke so maybe thats better. She hasn't eaten much of it but Hannah has liked having it around! It's hard to see my baby so sick but we have had some good snuggle time.
Fast asleep in mommys bed
Many choices of "squishy food" as she calls it
Hannah likes squishy food too!!
The girls have been sharing Popsicles so we are waiting for Hannah to start with the fever. It's been quite a week!

Precious Hannah
While discussing the possibility of going to the park Leah exclaimed "we'll go to the park someday- but I don't want that mean old bee to get my precious Hannah!".
